welcome...

...from the heart and mind of Mixed Media ARTist Shelly Rae Wood. I am a native of rural, central Illinois and am a recent and grateful transplant to the "Deep South" of South-western Georgia. I share my home with my husband of 23 years, my 20-year-old son, my faithful, furry canine companion, Cody and our 3 newest feline additions: Jinx, Smudgey and Pookie.

Of all the gifts I have received, God blessed me best, the day He instilled a passion to create in my soul. Time spent in the Studio in praise to Him and up to my elbows in paper, beads, glitter and glue is the saving grace of my life. For this I am forever grateful, always.

I have created an Etsy shop: www.shellyraewood.etsy.com. Please stop by and say hello.

My fave ART mediums are making jewelry (currently obsessed with bead crochet and copper wire), Iris Folding ART, and creating Mixed Media ART with paper (handmade, rubber stamps, collage). My passions include: celestial anything, Van Gogh (especially "Starry, Starry Night), copper, words are a huge part of my ART. I love "sparkly and shiny things" and know that more is good. I could spend all day playing in a big bowl of bead soup or sorting through a stack of magazines for collage with scissors in hand.

I believe no day is complete without Coke Zero and a handful of Dark Chocolate. My perfect studio would have beach front access, some seriously good music wafting around and room to play with all my friends.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit. If there's anything I can do for you, or questions I can answer please let me know. I am happy to discuss custom ART commissions or requests.
