Christmas Row House Swap - Gingerbread style

The next installment of my monthly row houses swaps was to be in the Christmas genre. Hmmmm.....what to do, what to do. Well, I went totally out of my box and went quirky and cute. Wow!! Totally not my usual style!! LOL But I like it!! I have always wanted to make big Gingerbread Houses, baked up fresh, dripping with icing and loaded down with candy. This is the next best thing. I love the peppermint "shingles" and the glittery iced roof (I used 3 kinds of Martha Stewart glitters for the sparkle). Please click the pic to appreciate the glittery roof. It is headed to my friend Diann in NC. Hope she is feeling "SWEET." You can see the previous row houses here and here .

New ART to share....

.....I finished up a few mingle ART pieces today. I thought I would share them. Everything is Fall or Halloween themed.

First up is a Haunted Row House. I had no idea where to go with this one. But I do LOVE it when it all comes together. All I know was the background image I wanted to use. From there it just sort of evolved. The roof is made from chipboard wrapped in aluminum foil and run through the cuttle bug. I simply adore the spider hanging from the roof. This was too much fun!! :::smiles:::

Second is a Thanksgiving themed card and envie. Simple, yet effective me thinks. I just dtp the image with chalk inks and layered it with some luscious fall hued papers.

And of course the coordinating envie made from 12 x 12 paper.

Some new ART....

I have some new ART to share that are for August swaps. :::smiles:::

First up is an ATC with the theme "lady". I used one of my fave images on vellum, backed with a vintage dictionary page.

Second swap item was a tag, themed "Anything goes." I used some paper from the new DCWV Paper stack, "The Green Stack" http://www.diecutswithaview.com/new.php?id=288 and a skeleton leaf and copper embellishments.

Finally, I was to make a row house. I cut the basic shapes with my Cricut using the Wild Card cartridge and embellished from there. I am happy with how it turned out. It is larger than it appears, coming in at around 5 x 10. Anywho....just sharing!! :)
