Holiday Recipe Cards Swap

I am participating in a Holiday Cookie Recipe Card Swap. I was to make  a recipe card with a fave cookie and send to 3 people. Well, apparently, silly me read make 3 recipe cards and send to 3 people. LOL  Better more cookies than less, right? SO here are my 3 recipe cards.

#1 is my Great Grandma's Molasses Cookies.....wouldn't be Christmas without them for our family.

#2 is my always requested White Chocolate Macadamia Temptations Cookies....soooo good.

#3 is a favorite from a friend for Scrumptious Peanut Butter Cookie Pop.....fun AND delicious.

Here is the coordinating envie I made for them! Anywho....enjoy.

New ART & RAK's going out

Have you wondered if I have fallen off the planet? Nope.....just having computer issues. Ugh!! We have worked out a temporary solution so I can still get to my blog, my emails and my Yahoo groups!! :::smiles::: Anywho, My house is spotless and I have all my ART commitments caught up and have had time to play!!

I am a FIRM believer in: Pay it Forward." (Excellent movie btw) So, I made up 5 RAK's (Random Acts of Kindness) to send out into the world. I have added in the pics of one of them. I have a friend who commented on a tag book I posted previously. She had never seen one, so I made her one. It i s very fun and artsy. I used a burgundy cardstock, run through the cuttlebug using the flower fantasy embossing folder. I highlighted it with silver metallic rub-on creme. The pages are made from "friend" print scrapbook paper and a collage of my fave stamps.

I also shared the fun and colorful envie I made for the RAK's. I encourage everyone to take time to send out some RAK's into the world. It will come back to you ten-fold. Just keep paying it forward.....

please click on the pics to see them close-up!! :)

It's begining to look a lot like....

....Fall at my house. Well, at least in the ART studio. I needed to make 3 fallish cards and last night....that is what I did.

First up, is the card I made for my friend Diann. The theme was a "Fall" card.
I am enthralled now with pyramage as a technique. Diann really likes Vintage and Victorian...she is a very classic lady. I think she will enjoy this card. It features two little cuties out enjoying a fall day and is embellished with a fabric yo-yo.

The second card, also done in pyramage is for the theme "Harvest blessings". It does not have a destination yet, as the swap is not yet closed. I really liked this leaves graphic when I found it.

Both cards feature this verse: "FAITH isn't believing we know...It's KNOWING we BELIEVE". They also have this as their envie.

The final card was for the theme: Pumpkins. I made 2 iris fold pumpkins,
embellished by ribbon and "October".

It features this as it's coordinating envie.

So, even though it's 90 degrees+ outside....it's beginning to feel like fall around here. Anyone have a caramel apple?? Yumm....

Charmed, I'm sure....part #2

Thought I would update the charms I shared yesterday that are heading to "Cloth, Paper, Scissors" magazine for their charm swap. I came up with a nifty way to package them I think. I used various copper ATC blanks I had and cut them in half (making Moos). I stamped "ART" on them with Black Stazon ink using one of my very fave stamps from Ma Vinci's Reliquary. http://mavinci.net/ Robin has the absolute best stamps on the net, IMHO!! If you're looking for OOAK alphabets.....check out her wares!! You will not be disappointed. Here's a link to the Codex word "ART" stamp I used and WOW it's on sale too. http://mavinci.net/id16.html

Then I punched a hole using a 1/16" round punch followed by my Stampin' Up half round slit punch to make a flap. This allowed me to slip the jump ring through the hole and allow the charm to dangle on the Moo card. I then backed it with a piece of black cardstock. Voila!! Finished presentation, simple yet effective

I also included a shot of the fun envie I stamped to send them in. I have not really stamped much in a long time....it was refreshing. Anywho.....that's it from me today. I'm busy packaging up some other mingles I want to get into today's mail!! Later Taters!!
